Let’s rethink 2021 – La Jornada Hidalgo

“The future has many names. For the weak is the unreachable. For the fearful, the unknown. For the brave it is the opportunity ”.

Victor Hugo

It is likely that we have felt that this year passed too quickly, that the goals, purposes and ideas that we thought to fulfill when it began have been far from being realized, and that is that globalization and the speed with which technology has permeated daily life make the hours and the days do not yield.

In 2021, as in the past, we continue to face the vicissitudes brought by the pandemic declared on March 11, 2019 by the World Health Organization, But if we can learn something good from this crisis, it is that cooperation is essential to face problems, that solidarity becomes greater in the face of difficulties and that resilience must be the center of our thinking from now on.

Since we are very close to another year passing, we can look back and make a small recount of everything that as a society has transformed us, and we cannot forget that the world was marked by activities that in the future will become in referents.

On the other hand, we cannot forget the chaos that caused the Taliban state to take control of the capital in Afghanistan and the terrible scenes of people seeking to be evacuated, the dangerous situation of thousands of girls and women, and the despair in the face of parents, brothers and children.

It is true that it has been a difficult year, but not everything has been bad, we have witnessed astronomical spectacles that will not be repeated for hundreds of years, science continues to take giant steps to improve the quality of life, technology is increasingly focused more on well-being and climate change has established itself as a substantial item.

Every mistake that has been understood so as not to repeat itself, every fear that has been faced face to face, every expectation exceeded, every time someone said no to us and we challenged him to overcome ourselves, but above all, every time we were able to overcome a crisis or problem. achieving an apprenticeship means that everything will have been worthwhile to continue advancing.

I hope that in 2022 we allow ourselves to continue growing and continue to contribute to our surroundings and others, Happy New Year and a prosperous new 2022!
