The judoka recounted the dramatic experience to The Parisian: “He was drunk – he confessed to the French newspaper -. It was expected that Alain would pass by me, I would have to accompany him to the airport. Once he arrived he said he would no longer need me and started insulting me”. The man then passed into his hands, and even attempted to strangle her: “I was half asleep – he still remembers -, I didn’t quite understand what was happening but death touched me”. The man also grabbed her by the hair and slammed her to the ground. He banged his nose resulting in a fracture and, in a mask of blood, reached the neighbors who called the police. “He often used to insult me, denigrate me, tell me unpleasant things about my character or behavior. We had violent fights but he never raised his hands.” Alan Schmitt ended up in prison for about 48 hours and will be tried on Tuesday before the Bobigny Court. Margaux was treated at the Avicenne hospital in Bobigny, with a prognosis of 8 days.
