Wuelfrath. 109 male judokas born in 2007, 2008 and 2009 competed in the West German U15 individual championships. Roman and Konstantin Distel were qualified for the TB Wülfrath.

Roman Distel was the first to hit the mat in the weight class up to 55 kilograms. After two wins, the Wülfrather was in the semi-finals that he just lost. In the fight for third place, Roman was slightly injured. Fifth place is to be seen as a success after a change in weight class.

His brother Konstantin won his first fight with good tactics in the very strong class up to 66 kilograms. After a narrow defeat in the main round, Konstantin asserted himself with 3 more victories in the field of participants and achieved third place.

There was praise and impulses for the next competitions from the U15 regional trainer, who nominated the two Wülfrathers for a screening course for the older U17 age group.

His big brother Arthur, on the other hand, was able to contest three fights in the new U20 age group at his first screening tournament, of which he was able to win one fight in overtime after a good performance.
