Juan Yepez, a future star in San Luis

Juan Yepez has become one of the future stars to follow in MLB baseball.

His remarkable performance in the 2021 season in the Minor Leagues with the San Luis Cardinals organization was enough to receive countless accolades and, of course, his participation in the Arizona Fall League where he rose as the Batter of the Year with a bulky .302 average and a total of 26 RBIs in 23 games.

This performance is just the tip of the iceberg of what this man from Caracas wants to achieve.

“Thank God I had a very productive year, after having lost the year due to the pandemic. It was a year 2020 of a lot of work, a lot of effort and dedication ”, highlighted the slugger by phone. “San Luis rewarded me for having included me on the roster for that game (Wild Card 2021) and I’m really happy with what I was able to produce this year in the minors,” he said.

His presence in the San Luis organization has become a fixture; to the point of including him in the roster of the All-Star team of the Eastern League in AAA, where he left superlative numbers, reaping .289 on average with 22 homers and 63 RBIs in 92 games played.

Now, despite the obstacles he may have, Yepez is focused on achieving his dream of becoming a big league in the 2022 season.

“I want to show St. Louis that I am a Major League Baseball player and that I can get the job done. This winter I want to prepare as best I can ”.
