Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has been placed on the list of players under anti-Covid protocol, his team announced on Monday, and will not play the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves scheduled for the same day.
Tatum, 23, who is currently having a full season with 25.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, had already been sidelined for two weeks in January when he had contracted the virus.

He is Boston’s ninth player placed in segregation after Enes Freedom (formerly Enes Kanter), Bruno Fernando, Justin Jackson, CJ Miles, Aaron Nesmith, Josh Richardson, Dennis Schroder and Grant Williams.
124 NBA players are currently sidelined by the league as it tries to cope with the epidemic resurgence. John Collins (Atlanta Hawks), Charlotte Hornets players Miles Bridges, Cody Martin, PJ Washington and Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball had already been placed in isolation on Sunday.
NBA rules state that players on anti-Covid protocols must go into isolation for ten days until they register two negative tests in a 24-hour period.
