As part of this new competition to benefit young talent in American soccer, one of the 21 teams that joins this project is Rochester NY FC, which will function as an independent club.
The peculiarity of this club is that its owners include the brothers David and Wendy Dworkin, as well as Premier League champion with Leicester City, Jamie Vardy.
Following the announcement of the MLS NEXT Pro, the former striker of the English National Team and current scorer of the Foxes, He spoke about the arrival of this new competition and the objective of his franchise to promote players and help them develop in the best clubs in the world.
“We want to play with the best young guys out there. Regarding the arrival of this new development league to the United States, the Leicester City striker recognized the importance that MLS has taken on in recent years and assured that This new competition will be competitive enough to develop new players capable of competing in any league in the world just like recent cases like Alphonso Davies.
