Jalen Ramsey: Facing the Jaguars is one more game

The Week 13 of the 2021 NFL season offers us a showdown between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams in which one of the stories to follow will be the cornerback confrontation Jalen Ramsey against his former team.

Jalen Ramsey was acquired by the Rams via a trade with the Jaguars in the 2019 season in exchange for two first-round picks and one fourth-round pick. Since then, the cornerback had not faced his former team.

“This is not about me playing Jacksonville. It’s one more game, right? I no longer know the people who are in the institutionThey have a whole new organization. I probably know five people, but I actually talk to two of them, ”Ramsey stated for Associated Press.

When Ramsey was a member of the Jaguars Doug Marrone was the team’s head coach. Now the head coach is Urban Meyer. The only teammates on defense remaining in Jacksonville are linebacker Myles Jack and defensive end Josh Allen.

In three and a half years with the JaguarsRamsey appeared in 51 games and recorded 193 tackles, 45 deflected passes, nine interceptions and two forced fumbles. In addition, he was invited to the Pro Bowl twice and in 2017 earned an NFL First Team All-Pro nomination.

On the other hand, has played 35 games and recorded 100 tackles, 23 deflections and five interceptions in the past two and a half seasons with the Rams. During his time in Los Angeles, the Florida State product has gone to the Pro Bowl twice as a representative of the NFC and has been selected to the All-Pro team once.

OBJ in doubt

The participation of wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in the commitment against the Jaguars is in doubt since it presents discomfort in the hip. In addition, he practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday and was absent from training on Thursday.

Since Beckham came to Los Angeles the wide receiver has participated in two games and has 99 yards and a touchdown after catching seven of the 13 passes Matthew Stafford has thrown in his direction.
