Jalen Jones to reinforce JL Bourg?

JL Bourg has had a disappointing start to the 2021-2022 season and the club is looking to strengthen itself, with many coming and going in its ranks. According to the transalpine media Prealpina, the Bressan club plans to bring Jalen Jones (2.01 m, 28 years old). This 4-3 position is under contract for the Italian club Varese, where he has had a good season as an individual (14.1 points at 46% shooting success, including 32.8 at 3 points on 3.1 attempts per game, 5.5 rebounds and 1 assist in 29 minutes). Engaged in EuroCup, JL Bourg is attractive compared to what the current last of the first division offers it (3 wins, 9 defeats). However, the Aindinese institution will have to settle the exit clause if it chooses to bring in the Texan.

NBA and EuroLeague experiences

The latter has mainly played across Atlanta, a little in the NBA (32 games shared between Dallas, New Orleans and Cleveland) and a lot in the G-League, since the start of his career. In addition to his experience at Varese, he however played 30 matches with Baskonia in 2018-2019, including 13 in EuroLeague (4.5 points to 42.6% success on shots and 1.9 rebounds in 10 minutes).

To replace him, Varèse will opt for the Estonian Siim Sander-Vene, seen at the start of the season in Limoges. At the end of November, the other Serie A relegation, Fortitudo Bologna, had thought of bringing him in.
