KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, responded to the Indonesian national team players who reportedly attracted the attention of South Korean, Japanese and European clubs.
The 2020 AFF Cup is said to have sparked the interest of several foreign clubs to the Indonesian national team players who made an impressive appearance on Garuda’s journey to the final.
Transfer rumors reportedly surround two young PSIS Semarang players, namely Pratama Arhan and Alfaeandra Dewangga.
According to PSIS CEO, Yoyok Sukawi, Arhan and Dewangga received offers from clubs from South Korea to Europe.

However, Yoyok did not reveal the identity of the club that pays attention to the duo of defenders for the Indonesian national team.
“Yes, yesterday from Korea and Europe, but it was only an assessment,” said Yoyok Sukawi, quoted from the Central Java Tribune, Friday (12/24/2021).

“Arhan and Dewangga have contracts with PSIS, but there is an agreement that if there is an offer from a foreign club, it will be released.”

“They are on a three-year contract, but me and them have a man-to-man agreement.”
“I said they should not leave PSIS and join a Liga 1 club,” added the man who is also a member of the PSSI Exco Committee.
Meanwhile, FC Tokyo, which is a J-League or Japanese League club, is interested in Elkan Baggott.

Responding to the rumors circulating, the coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, responded positively.
Shin Tae-yong said it was important that the players study abroad for the development of the Indonesian national team.
“This is very positive for Indonesia. Hopefully this can be a good step for Indonesian players,” said STY in response to the news in a press conference, Friday (12/31/2021).

“I hope Indonesian players play abroad such as the Japanese League, Korean League, or Europe.”
“They should be able to learn the football culture of developed countries. If so, there will definitely be developments for Indonesian football,” said the South Korean coach.
The Indonesian national team itself already has a number of players who have careers abroad.
Three of them played for European clubs, namely Egy Maulana Vikri (FK Senica/Slovakia), Elkan Baggott (Ipswich Town/England), and Witan Sulaeman (Lechia Gdansk/Poland).
