The Italian Basketball Federation, Veneto Regional Committee, has decided to postpone all matches that would otherwise have taken place from 2 to 16 January 2022. According to an official note, the Regional Governing Council, having consulted the presidents and provincial delegates, in consideration of the “numerous requests and requests received from clubs and members,” carefully assessed the “difficult pandemic situation in progress”, it established “the postponement of all matches, including recoveries, of all men’s and women’s championships of regional competence and the men’s championships of excellence, which were to be held in the period from 2 to 16 January 2022 “.

The Fip Veneto Regional Executive Council also communicates that, during the postponement period, “friendly matches or joint training sessions will not be authorized”. The Regional Committee, it also states, “will continue to monitor the evolution of the situation on the national and regional territory with the hope of being able to safely guarantee the regular running of the competitions”. The regional competition office and the provincial detached competition offices will shortly communicate the new regional and provincial programming relating to the postponed championships.
