Guy Forget is no longer the director of Roland Garros and Paris-Bercy

As surprising as it is sudden. Or sudden and surprising. According to the French newspaper The team, Guy Forget, current director of the Roland Garros and Paris-Bercy tournaments (the two largest tennis events in the country) announced his departure.

Forget, a legendary French former tennis player, would have directly contacted Gilles Moretton, president of the French Tennis Federation, to present his resignation with immediate effect.

Close to his 57th birthday, Forget won 11 ATP titles as a singles player, ranking fourth in the world rankings in 1991. That same year he won the Davis Cup with France 3-1 against the United States.

He was one of the oldest directors on the circuit: he had held his position in the Masters 1000 tournament since 2012, while he took command of the second Grand Slam in 2016.
