A violent brawl between about sixty individuals took place in Ermont (Val-d’Oise) late this Sunday evening. Three young men were injured, two seriously, as well as a police officer. Nine suspects were arrested and weapons were found, including a pistol, baseball bats and a cutter.

They had come to do battle in violence. The police were alerted just before 11 p.m. About sixty individuals were fighting each other, weapons in hand, Auguste-Rodin mail, a few hundred meters from the town of Sannois. Shots and fireworks mortars were reported by residents.

Four police crews attended. Seeing the police arrive, the protagonists quickly fled. Two young men were left behind, injured. One, a 19-year-old who is known to the police, had several wounds on his leg, abdomen, neck and back. Seriously injured, he was evacuated by firefighters at Argenteuil hospital. A second 18-year-old individual, who is not known to the police, was injured in the head. He was reportedly hit with a baseball bat. The young adult was also taken to hospital. A police officer was also injured in a hand during the intervention.

Half an hour later, the police arrested nine people who were taken into custody for participating in an armed gathering, said a police source. One of the 20-year-old suspects was injured in a hand. At the same time, the police made observations at the scene of this violent fight. An 8mm caliber handgun was discovered along with baseball bats, sticks and a cutter.

The police officers of the urban security brigade (BSU) of the Ermont police station are in charge of the investigations. According to the first elements, this brawl opposed young individuals from the city of Oaks to Ermont and those from the city of Lodges located in Sannois. A violent fight of the same type had already taken place last October. Two people, including a 17-year-old teenager, were arrested and taken into police custody.
