The eighth edition of “I like it from the heart – Ascotrade”, the competition promoted by the electricity and gas supply company of Pieve di Soligo, in collaboration with CONI and CIP of Veneto to promote Paralympic sport.
This is an initiative aimed at Paralympic companies in the area, called upon to present a project to be financed, such as the purchase of equipment, the removal of architectural barriers, training or dissemination activities.
The 14 participating projects were uploaded to the official Facebook page Fb / MiPiacediCuore-Ascotrade, where they can be voted on until 12 December. The ranking of the likes, together with the evaluation of a technical jury, will lead to the selection of the four winning companies, who will share the prize pool of 10 thousand euros offered by Ascotrade.
Testimonials of the new edition are the very young Italian Paralympic champion in archery, Asia Pellizzari, and Francesco Bettella, world champion and Paralympic Bronze in Tokyo in swimming (she is also part of the Technical Jury).
Rugby, football, swimming, cycling, sailing, karate, fencing, dance, athletics shooting, triathlon, climbing: there are many disciplines involved in the projects, which testify to the great vitality of the sporting and social fabric of the area.
The projects are also very transversal: they range from practical equipment such as spare wheels for wheelchairs, spiked shoes or electric platforms, to promotional activities to involve new possible athletes. Training courses for technicians and volunteers are also fundamental, even more important in the growing initiatives aimed at athletes with intellectual and relational disabilities, autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
