EdF: Rothen deplores the release of Le Graët

On Tuesday, the president of the French Football Federation Noël Le Graët kept the blur on the future of the coach of the France team Didier Deschamps, under contract until the 2022 World Cup, with in particular the possibility of appointing Zinédine Zidane to succeed him after this tournament (see here). Consultant for RMC radio, Jérôme Rothen did not appreciate this exit of the tricolor leader.

“I’m tired of talking every time about the renewal of the France team after the World Cup, even if we can imagine that Deschamps will leave afterwards. We must respect what he has put in place, what he made this France team gain, how he transformed this team at all levels, sporting and on the image. The coat of arms, today, looks like something, even if there is had this failure at the Euro. What I reproach Le Graët is for always talking about the future, the post-Deschamps period. He never did it before. (…) If you like Zidane, it was necessary to use this failure at the Euro and tell Deschamps that it had to end there. Today, it’s rubbish, “blasted the former Parisian on Wednesday.
