The installation of fences along the plot that will host the future All In Academy of tennis, carried by Patrick Bouchet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Thierry Ascione on the heights of Groupama Stadium in Décines, officially launches the start of the work.
The machines are not yet present, but it will not be long. Last October, the project leaders met with local residents in order to stabilize the organization of the work and reduce the nuisance as much as possible during this construction period.
22 courts including 8 covered
As a reminder, this tennis academy, within the framework of OL Vallée, will take place on a 3.5 hectare plot, located at the corner of Marceau and Sully streets. It will include 22 hard and clay courts including 8 covered, a “central” with 1,500 places, a semi-Olympic outdoor swimming pool, a campus for academics (90 beds), etc.
The work, which should have already started since October, will primarily concern the earthworks of the site, which should be spread over thirteen to fifteen weeks. The construction of buildings and land will follow.
The opening is scheduled for 2023: first the complex for members in the spring then the training center for academics in September.
