After an extraordinary work in the past Youth Pan American Games that were held in Cali, Colombia, the Board of the Club Deportivo Naco, headed by its president the Dr. Luis Miguel Pou Guerra, He recognized the Naqueños judocas, Antonio Tornal and Axel del Castillo, for his great performance in the continental fair.
Antonio Tornal and Axel del Castillo won silver and bronze medals in the first Youth Pan American Games.
Next to Dr. Luis Miguel Pou, were the directors: Dr. Audrey Lehoux, Lic. Madeline Andino, Lic. Ernesto Martínez, Ing. Gerardo Genao and Lic. Arnaldo Sánchez. Francisco Boyero, Sports Director, directed the formal ceremony.
The recognition was carried out in the Dojo Judo Naco, in the presence of all the judo athletes and parents who accompanied them at that time.
Tornal’s plaque was received by the Sensei Juan Chalas, since this athlete is residing in Spain.

Teacher Juan Chalas, when pondering the qualities of Antonio Tornal, affirmed that this young man had an outstanding performance in those Games in Cali, where he raised the tricolor flag with the National Team, as well as the Naqueña flag.
While Axel del Castillo, who won silver and bronze, stated that he is very happy to have achieved those medals in Cali, Colombia.
“It was quite a tough competition, as we were up against high-quality fighters,” he said.
