Franz Wagner scored 13 points for the Orlando Magic at 83:93 in the Miami Heat. After a good start on South Beach (21:12), the guests from Central Florida had nothing to inherit from their state rivals. A 10-0 run of the Heat in the fourth quarter put the lid on the game and the favorite win for Miami (21:13) against Kellerkind Orlando (7:27).

Moritz Wagner had been included in the league’s corona protocol and was therefore not used. For the heat, Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin each got 17 points.

Jokic outstanding

Like Wagner, the German center Isaiah Hartenstein also had to take a break. He missed the Los Angeles Clippers in the 100-103 home defeat to his ex-team Denver Nuggets due to an ankle injury. Clippers star Paul George couldn’t play either, a torn ligament in his elbow put the forward out of action for several weeks. The outstanding man of the evening was Denver’s league MVP Nikola Jokic with 26 points and 22 rebounds. Los Angeles (17:16) is fifth in the Western Conference, the Nuggets (16:16) follow directly behind.

Debacle for the Raptors

The Toronto Raptors were much more clearly defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers. At 99: 144, Isaac Bonga from Neuwied, among others, could not participate. He’s also on the league’s health and safety protocol. For the Cavs (20:13), who are on the rise, six players scored double digits, veteran Kevin Love and point guard Darius Garland each made 22 points.

The Detroit Pistons lost hardly less clearly at the San Antonio Spurs (109: 144, Keldon Johnson with 27 points for the Spurs) and the Sacramento Kings against the Memphis Grizzlies (102: 127, Desmond Bane with 28 points for Memphis).
