The 36th edition of America responds to El País had a very special addition and it was the award for the best players of the year.
Women’s football is growing by leaps and bounds and that is why it was understood that female footballers also deserved their place within this prestigious award that highlights the best on the continent.

Tamires, the first ‘Queen of America’
In its first edition, the Queen of America award went to Brazil since the winner was Tamires, Corinthians footballer.
