Card Accumulation, Primary Arhan Absent in Leg 1 of AFF Cup Final

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Left back Indonesian National team, Pratama Arhan Alif Rifai, confirmed to miss the first leg of the final AFF Cup 2020 due to card accumulation.

The assistant coach of the Indonesian national team, Nova Arianto, confirmed the ban on Arhan’s appearance in the match which took place on December 29.

Nova also said that the AFF, which previously did not include a yellow card for Arhan in the second leg, had corrected the statistical record so that the young Indonesian national team player would not play when the Garuda squad met the War Elephant team in the first leg.

“Right [Arhan terkena akumulasi di final leg pertama], and has been corrected. After the penalty incident in the last minute of the second half,” Nova said regarding the yellow card received by Arhan in the second leg.

Previously in the match statistics, it was stated that Indonesia only got one yellow card in the name of Fachruddin Wahyudi Aryanto.

Referring to the minute by minute report of the match from the AFF official website, there is also no yellow card information for Arhan.

However, as Nova said, Arhan has been confirmed to be absent and the AFF has corrected the error in the recording of the card.

The PSIS Semarang player received a yellow card in the two semifinal legs against Singapore. In the first leg, Arhan was presented with a card by referee Kim Hee Gon after fouling The Lions midfielder, Song Ui Yong.

Meanwhile, as explained by Nova, Arhan got a card in the second leg in an incident in the last minute of normal time when he was deemed to have violated Shawal Anuar which also resulted in a 12-pass kick penalty.

The penalty for Singapore which was executed by Faris Ramli did not change the score because of Nadeo Argawinata’s save.
