It began with the installation of a new municipal councilor from the opposition list “Advance for Arpajon sur Cère” in the person of Julien Eyrignoux who replaces Géraud Marcastel who has submitted his resignation.
Transformation of the Granges area
Madam the Mayor sets out the main lines of the departmental plan of reception and habitat of the travelers which is submitted to the assembly for opinion. Regarding the municipality, the project provides for the transformation of the Granges area into family land in order to sedentary the occupants and meet the housing needs of aging people.

Revision of municipal tariffs 2022
They do not undergo any change compared to the year 2021 except for housing rents which are indexed to the benchmark index which shows an increase of 0.83%.

School group
The work program which was adopted during the meeting concerns the nursery school, the school canteen, the Garderie building for operations related to the restructuring and rehabilitation of various premises as well as the continuation of energy renovation for a total amount of 305 000 € HT.
Highways
The Mayor proposes to initiate the restructuring of Avenue Jean Jaurès, the condition of which is severely degraded as the 2nd traffic lane in the city center, which will make it possible to relieve Avenue Milhaud and promote soft mobility. The cost of the work is estimated at € 46,400 excluding tax.
Valérie Benech, of the opposition group, informed the assembly of the poor state of the networks of this road network which will be taken over, the mayor tells him.
Multisports ground
It is agreed to initiate a construction program of a multi-sports ground type City Stade on the site of La Vidalie. This type of equipment, which can accommodate multiple sports activities, is aimed at the greatest number of people, sportsmen and women alike. The estimated cost to be budgeted for is around € 43,000 excluding tax.
Acquisition of the old station hotel
This building is located in a geographical area linked to the future urbanization of the land in the perimeter of the district of the old station of Arpajon sur Cère, hence the interest of the municipality to acquire this property in view of the its location and the issues related to the real estate project initiated by Cantal Habitat.
“Concern for residents”
Valerie Benech draws the mayor’s attention to “the growing concern of local residents who have not yet been informed of developments in the project originally led by the former municipality and which will a priori be revised upwards in number of housing due to other plots of land which could be concerned ”.
They are therefore wondering about the number of additional housing units that will result and in order to be heard, they have decided to create a collective and ask that a meeting take place in the presence of the municipality. They also point out “that they would have liked to be informed of the recent visit to the site of Minister Emmanuelle Wargon in charge of housing”.
The initial project could evolve
In which the Mayor responds by indicating that the initial project has not changed but that indeed: it could evolve due to the possible contribution of additional land following the negotiations in progress knowing that for the moment the SNCF, main landowner in this sector remains deaf to the solicitations of the municipality.
During the deliberation, the Board approved the purchase of the Hôtel de la Gare for an amount of € 100,000. The opposition group abstained not to position itself against this project but to ask that it give rise to a consultation upstream what the residents are demanding due to a lack of elements to date.
Mayor’s information
Following the cancellation of the meal for seniors on Saturday January 8 at the La Vidalie room, one package per household will be distributed to people who have registered. The ceremony of wishes to the population and to the personnel which was to take place on January 14 and 21 is canceled.
