Campazzo sneaked into Jokic’s triumphant show

Nikola Jokic finished with 26 points and 22 rebounds to command the comeback of Denver (103-100) over Los Angeles Clippers after the Nuggets blew a 17-point lead on Sunday night.

The Nuggets were up 19 points against Charlotte in their previous home game and lost. For a moment, it seemed that they would suffer the same fate, this time as visitors. Luke Kennard was about to materialize it. His triple from the right corner with 19 seconds left brought the Clippers closer to 101-100.

However, Jokic was fouled by Eric Bledsoe on the entry pass and the Serbian made both free throws, 12.7 seconds from the end, to extend the Nuggets’ lead to three. Brandon Boston Jr. took the last shot from the Clippers, but missed the potential tie triple as the clock expired. Thus the Nuggets broke a small streak of two consecutive falls.

Facundo Campazzo, at 16’52 ”, contributed five points (0-1 in doubles, 1-3 in triples, 2-2 in free), three assists, two steals, a defensive rebound, two lost balls and five fouls.

Nikola Jokic left her small with 26 points and 22 rebounds.

Boston and Bledsoe led the Clippers with 18 points each. Bledsoe also dished out 10 assists. Ivica Zubac finished with 17 units and 11 boards. The Clippers did not have Paul George, who will be absent about a month due to a torn right elbow ligament. Los Angeles lost for the fourth time in five games.
