Another great performance of the youth sector of the ASD Army – 187 Folgore of Livorno and of the Lucca Bozzi, in particular, at the Italian championship “Juniores”, in the specialty “kumite”, organized by Fijlkam (Italian Federation of judo, wrestling, karate and martial arts ) at the Olympic center of the “Palapellicone”, in Lido di Ostia (Rome).
Andrea Bozzi from Lucca becomes part of the “top level” who, after the 6 matches sustained with technique, skill and tactics, touched the final for gold and, unfortunately, also the final that would have led him to the bronze medal . Bozzi, in this last meeting, with a score of 2 to 2, gave way to the opponent for the “senshu” (advantage that is assigned to the first competitor who wins the point) and, following this, he achieved an excellent fifth place in the 68 kg category and the status of athlete of national interest.
The brilliant performance guaranteed Bozzi participation in the national youth seminar to be held in Lignano Sabbiadoro, from 27 to 29 December for the preparation of young talents for the next European championship which will be held in Prague, in the Czech Republic, from 4 to 6 February. 2022.
