BJP Secretary General Arun Singh will act on PM Modi’s health council

WITH PRIME Minister Narendra Modi repeatedly emphasizing the need to focus on sport in his interactions with BJP lawmakers, party leaders now have a new task: not only to choose sports talent, but also to adapt. Senior MP Anupam Ray has been appointed India’s next permanent representative at the United Nations Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. Ray, an IFS officer from the 1994 group, is currently serving as Undersecretary at MEA headquarters in Delhi. Ray will succeed Pankaj Sharma, a 1991 IFS official who has been named the next Indian ambassador to Mexico.
