Senior MP Anupam Ray has been appointed India’s next permanent representative at the United Nations Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. Ray, an IFS officer from the 1994 group, is currently serving as Undersecretary at MEA headquarters in Delhi. Ray will succeed Pankaj Sharma, a 1991 IFS official who has been named the next Indian ambassador to Mexico.
