If the BG Göttingen will play at the promoted team in Heidelberg on Saturday, two players will be missing. The contracts with James Dickey and Zack Bryant were terminated by mutual agreement, the actors have already left Göttingen.

US Guard Bryant had asked for a contract termination because he wants to join another club. Rumor has it that he is saying goodbye to Finland.

Dickey had received an offer from Israel from Hapoel Haifa BC, so that the violets also came to an agreement with the US forward. The club from the Israeli port city has now announced the 25-year-old as a new addition. He will meet a new teammate at the first division club, who also competes internationally in the Europe Cup, who also wore the BG jersey for a short time last season: Will Rayman came to the Violets from Estonia at the end of November 2020 and then left the club after eight games for the BG.

“We wish both of them all the best for their future,” says BG managing director Frank Meinertshagen. BG head coach Roel Moors is already intensively sounding out the market to fill the gaps that both are leaving behind. “Of course I will try to find a replacement as soon as possible. But there probably won’t be any new players over the weekend, ”said the Belgian when asked.

Dickey and Bryant had switched to the violets that summer. Dickey, who went basketball in Hungary last season, appeared eight times (seven BBL games and one cup appearance) in the BG jersey. In the league, the 25-year-old averaged 6.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. For Bryant, Göttingen was his first professional position after college. The 24-year-old played five league games and one okal game (5.0 points / 2.4 assists).
