Belinda Bencic (WTA 23) starts the season at the WTA tournament in Sydney the week after next.
The tournament in Adelaide, which starts on Monday, comes too early for the Olympic champion, as she is still in quarantine in Abu Dhabi until New Year’s Eve after a positive corona test. “That’s why we don’t make it in time,” said the 24-year-old from Eastern Switzerland.
