BC has a successful representation in Cali

The first Junior Pan American Games in Cali 2021 have concluded in Colombia, where Baja California was present in the conquest of 25 medals for Mexico, including five gold, twelve silver and eight bronze.
After 13 days of competitions in Cali, the Tijuana native Diego Camacho consolidated himself as the 29th State figure with five medals, two gold and three silver; Leslie Soltero in tae kwon do, Akshara Licea in archery and Aylin Ibarra in rowing were also gold medal winners.
In Cali 2021, 31 athletes from Baja California participated, of which 22 returned with at least one junior Pan-American medal, talents such as Aylin Ibarra, Gabriel Daz and Julio Lpez, from rowing; as well as Stephanie Rodríguez and Itzel Berrelleza, from canoeing, they returned two metals on their chest.
Sports such as swimming, boating and rowing brought five medals each, fencing followed with four and tae kwon do, archery, cycling, karate, indoor volleyball and weightlifting returned with one metal; Without a medal they returned in handball, artistic gymnastics, judo and bowling.
Baja California’s contribution has been important to keep Mexico among the top five powers in youth sports on the Continent.
