Bayern practically autumn champions – next low blows for Gladbach and Wolfsburg

Bayern are practically autumn champions: While Munich turned a deficit against Mainz, BVB saved only a 1-1 draw without head coach Rose in Bochum. Gladbach conceded four goals again in the Tedesco debut in Leipzig, and Wolfsburg’s low worsened in the evening game.

Scenes from Saturday afternoon: Bellingham experienced the next disappointment with BVB, Musiala saved Bavaria, Tedesco cheered against Gladbach.

Bayern-Mainz: Matchwinner Musiala at Nagelsmann’s milestone

A week ago only just ahead of BVB, now suddenly six points ahead and practically autumn champions: FC Bayern took the next step towards title number 10 after the 3-2 win in Dortmund on Saturday. Without the Kimmich / Goretzka duo, Munich struggled against Mainz for a long time and were not undeservedly behind at the break (Onisiwo, 22nd). But then the guests could no longer withstand the pressure. Coman tunnelled hundredweight (53rd), Joker Gnabry initiated for match winner Musiala (74th) – 2: 1. For Julian Nagelsmann it was the 100th victory as a Bundesliga coach.

Bochum-Dortmund: Joker Brandt saves BVB the draw

At BVB, Alexander Zickler was mainly responsible on the sidelines, who represented his yellow-red-suspended head coach Marco Rose in Bochum. He experienced a frustrating afternoon: After Riemann had parried several times, especially against Bellingham (18th), Polter surprisingly gave the formidable VfL the lead because Kobel caused a penalty (40th). After the break, only Dortmund stormed. Wolf’s alleged equalization did not count after minutes of checking (54th), only the substitute Brandt saved the 1-1 draw after Haaland’s assist, which is still another setback for BVB in the title race.

Leipzig-Gladbach: fun football at Tedesco’s debut – Silva’s unbelievable miss

Is Borussia Mönchengladbach about to have a coaching discussion? After the 1: 4 in Cologne and the 0: 6 in Freiburg, the next “punch in the face” followed on Saturday (Adi Hütter after the 0: 6): RB Leipzig played the foals in coach Domenico Tedesco’s debut, sometimes dizzy. The fact that “only” Gvardiol (after a free kick, 21st) and Silva (33rd) scored was due to the outstanding summer – and to Silva, who hit the bar alone in front of the completely empty goal (52nd). When Bensebaini surprisingly shortened (88th), Nkunku and Henrichs immediately replied 3: 1 and 4: 1 in stoppage time. For Henrichs it was the first Bundesliga goal in the 82nd game.

Freiburg-Hoffenheim: TSG continue winning streak very late

Fourth against fifth it was before the game Freiburg against Hoffenheim – then fifth against fourth: TSG scored once early (room, 3rd) and once very late (Richards, 90th + 4) – after a corner of course – while Grifo for the SC failed with a penalty on ex-Freiburg Baumann (62.). Nico Schlotterbeck had meanwhile equalized (21st). For Hoffenheim it was the fourth win in a row, something that had never happened before under Sebastian Hoeneß.

Hertha-Bielefeld: Jovetic meets again

With a 2-0 win against the penultimate Bielefeld, Hertha BSC expanded their lead over the direct relegation ranks from five to eight points. In Tayfun Korkut’s home debut, Jovetic took the well-deserved lead (53rd), who had already scored twice at 2-2 in Stuttgart. Joker Selke made everything clear in stoppage time. For Bielefeld, the gap to the saving bank is growing.

Wolfsburg-Stuttgart: birthday child brings VfB on course

It remains uneasy at VfL Wolfsburg. Three days after the Champions League knockout, the Kohfeldt-Elf conceded their fifth competitive defeat in a row against VfB Stuttgart. Birthday child Mavropanos with a lot of force (25th) and Förster after an attack without resistance (63rd) ensured the deserved first Stuttgart away win of the season in the evening game – which was all the more important after the victories of Augsburg and Hertha in the basement. The fact that Marmoush, awarded by VfL to VfB, lifted a penalty against the crossbar (80th) was no longer significant. The 5000 spectators bid farewell to VfL with whistles.
