Bauer wants Correa to sign with the Yankees and not the Dodgers

Controversial, as it always has been, Trevor Bauer gave a statement again that turned on social networks and provoked all kinds of comments. This time, the still pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers expressed his opinion regarding his team’s possible interest in the Puerto Rican shortstop. Carlos Correa, who is listed as the most coveted free agent in the winter market of MLB.

“No mincing words,” Bauer told Correa that the Dodgers do not need him at all, because in his own words, his club “has a higher standard than other organizations.” To top it off, the 2020 Cy Young winner assured that the Puerto Rican would be better off signing with the New York YankeesAs the Bombers “have a lot of stories of players breaking the rules and it shouldn’t be a problem for them to add it” to their roster.

Bauer’s words weren’t received in the best light by baseball fans, especially after the right-handed pitcher was suspended most of last season on administrative leave for his alleged sexual assault case against a lady.

Even before the MLB work stoppage, the uncertainty about whether Bauer will return to pitch in 2022 remains a mystery, as the court in California needs to give its verdict on his legal problem, while Major League Baseball and the Los Angeles board take letters in the matter depending on the outcome of it.
