Australian Open> Woodbridge: “I don’t think winning the Australian Open would be a surprise for Medvedev”

A star consultant in Australia, former doubles legend Todd Woodbridge spoke about Daniil Medvedev who he believes is a favorite with or without Novak Djokovic. For Todd, his title acquired at the US Open as well as his strong personality can take him very far.

“Daniil Medvedev seems to think it’s only a matter of time. Winning the US Open came as no surprise to him, and I don’t think winning the Australian Open would be a surprise at all. I think he feels this Australian Open should be his. I’ve seen people look like they’re playing the part and trying to have that air of confidence and invincibility, but for me it’s always a bit of a facade. With Medvedev, I just see this inner confidence. And I like it about him. There is a maturity there that comes with a very good mental attitude and an ability to look across the court to understand what is going on mentally with your opponent. “
