Atlético Nacional visits Helio Neto, survivor of the Chapecoense air tragedy | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

Five years have passed since the tragedy of the Brazilian Chapecoense plane that mourned world football. 71 people lost their lives in one of the saddest events in the history of Antioquia.

Hélio Neto, one of the six survivors of this accident is currently in the capital of Antioquia, after visiting the Cerro Gordo of the Municipality of La Unión, eastern Antioquia, the site of the accident that occurred on November 28, 2016.

This Friday, Neto visited the Atlético Nacional sports headquarters in Guarne, eastern Antioquia, where he was able to give a few words of motivation to the professional team of Atlético Nacional, who were preparing the game against Deportivo Cali, for the third date of the A home run in League II -2021.

Neto, who retired from professional soccer in 2019 at the age of 34, wore the purslane jersey with the number ‘4’ and shared with the team. Neto, who dedicated himself to writing a book, is now working on a film inspired by his story, which will be called ‘The Last Survivor’ and will be directed by Colombian filmmaker Gustavo Nieto Roa and produced by Camilo Vidales.
