Former world No.135 Alize Lim dreamed that she was drawn to face Roger Federer in the first round of Roland Garros, but due to COVID-19 they had to stay home and play in front of their television .
Alize Lim also revealed that she lost the match in her dream as she kept missing the ball and taking shots in the air. Lim is a big fan of Federer.
In the past, she posted a few selfies with the Swiss on her social media. “I had a dream where I had to play @rogerfederer in the first round of Roland Garros, but because of Covid we had to stay home and play in front of our TV.
I kept playing, but I missed the ball and kicked in the air. I was so sad it couldn’t have been a real game because of the Covid too, ”Lim tweeted.
Federer aims for a return in 2022
Federer ended his season in August to undergo a third knee surgery. Fernando Gonzalez, who lost to Federer in the 2007 Australian Open final, is curious to see what will happen with the Swiss in 2022.
“Being out of competition for several months last year was tough and now this year there are still travel issues,” Gonzalez exclusively told Tennis365.
“Hopefully we can go into next year and have a more normal tennis year because there are so many exciting things going on in our sport. We are just waiting to see if Roger can come back, what will happen with Rafa and we will see Daniil Medvedev win his first major tournament maybe.
