In the following minute, Paintsil offered himself a double by finally overcoming Mignolet (3-2, 70th) after speeding up the defense of the Blauw in Zwart who had just celebrated the equalizer. His goal was not however enough for the qualification since the inevitable Charles De Ketelaere was once again at the reception of a cross, from Vanaken this time, to place a header in the net of Vandevoordt ( 3-3, 89th), who had replaced Leysen at half-time after a shock to the head. In the last moments, a clumsy Ugbo missed a perfect opportunity to seal the Limburg qualification by planting his foot in the ground (90th + 4), sending the two teams into overtime.

The extra thirty minutes were nevertheless less action-packed than the first 90, but Genk still had the opportunity to score in the dying minutes. Mignolet nevertheless lengthened very quickly to win against the strike on the return of Oyen, from inside the area (110th).

In the difficult practice of shots on goal, only Hrosovsky, on the first Geneva kickoff, failed by offering Mignolet a ball hit too softly in the middle of the goal. Lang sealed Bruges’ qualification for the quarter-finals with the last shot on goal of the session which ended with a score of 3-5.
