2022 is about to begin, and as is the tradition in the world of martial arts, judo, and particularly in the Kodokan, it is the time of Kangeiko. This is a training that is traditionally carried out at low temperatures, in the coldest days and hours of winter, and that has been held since the founding of Kodokan in 1882.
The objective of this training is to cultivate, especially among young people, a series of values such as willpower or perseverance, and not only the physical one.
In the case of the Kodokan, this 10-day training takes place in the first days of January, between 5:30 and 7:30 in the morning. However, and in order to comply with current regulations in relation to the coronavirus health crisis, AD Judo Ferrolterra will train from January 1 to 10, from 6:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
