The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, will continue to host the last round of the Formula One World Championship throughout this decade according to an agreement that was reported this Thursday at the circuit of Yas Marina.
The agreement will continue for the next nine years after the organizers of the event and Formula 1 arrived to renew the contract until 2030.
“Formula 1 is pleased to announce that it has renewed its contract with Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) until 2030 and we look forward to building on our strong relationship for the next decade, “F1 announced in a statement.
Abu Dhabi, debuting in the World Cup in 2009, has been in the last round of the championship the vast majority of times he was part of it; and on three occasions the contest was decided in Yas Marina, where it will be resolved for the fourth time this Sunday, between the seven-time English world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), 36; and the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull), 24, who arrive tied on points at the last of the 21 rounds of the course.
Both count 369.5 points, although Verstappen is leading by counting one more victory (9) than the British. And in case none of them scored at Yas Marina – a track ‘retouched’ this year, which now measures 5,281 meters and to which on Sunday it is planned to give 58 laps, to complete a route of 306.1 kilometers – it will be the Red Bull captain who will be crowned this Sunday in the Emirates.
To celebrate this end of the year and the renewal until 2030, the Yas Marina circuit will present a remodeling in three areas; the north fork (turn 7), the south marina (from turn 11) and the hotel section (from turn 17).

For his part, the CEO of ADMM, Saif Al Noaimi, assured that the signing of this new contract not only represents the strength of the mutual relationship but also “reaffirms the commitment” from Abu Dhabi with F1. “We want to continue to provide a world-class, unparalleled racing weekend experience for everyone to enjoy,” he said.
