A competitive weekend for archery

The last outdoor competition of the 2020-2021 season in Lozère took place in Chirac. The day of Saturday July 10 was devoted to a departmental passage of level arrows as well as to the third round of the departmental chick criterium.

Two youngsters from the Compagnie des archers de Chanac behaved very well since they both reached the podium in the mixed P10 category (10m shooting). In first position comes Maély Barrouillet and in second place, Eloan Martinez.

Sunday was reserved for two selective competitions for the French championship. Here too, the two representatives of Chanac both rise to the top step of the podium, namely, in the international category (shooting at 70 m): senior 1 recurve lady, Gwendoline Bencherif (402 points) and in the national category. (shooting at 50 m): junior lady recurve, Elyne Bouniol (510 points).

The archers had a great time getting together for this competition. Even if it is an individual sport, the Compagnie des archers de Chanac forms a very united group of young people and adults who take pleasure in challenging other countries. It is an excellent understanding which reigns between each one for the happiness of Lilian Martinez, the president of the association.

Archers will soon meet for other competitions, something to visit and discover new territories.
