A 17th success in a row for Phoenix, which bends Golden State

Phoenix dominated Golden State 104-96 on Tuesday in a clash between the NBA’s top two teams of the start of the season.

The Suns won their 17th consecutive success on this occasion, tying a franchise record.

Unhappy finalists of the last play-offs, the Suns however quickly had to compose without their back-star Devin Booker, forced to leave the floor in the second quarter already due to an injury to the left thigh. They forced the decision thanks in particular to a superb defense on Stephen Curry.

Phoenix maintained the League’s leading scorer at 12 points, 4 of 21 shooting (3 of 14 three-pointers). The Suns were also able to count on the offensive efficiency of their veteran point guard Chris Paul (15 points, 11 assists) and inside Deandre Ayton (24 points, 11 rebounds).

The Arizona franchise has joined the Golden State Warriors at the top of the Western Conference, with 18 wins and 3 losses. The Brooklyn Nets, for their part, consolidated their 1st place in the East (15 wins, 6 losses) by beating the New York Knicks 112-110 thanks in particular to 34 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists from James Harden.
