The Provincial Municipality of Paita recognized a total of 23 young people from Paiteños who stand out in the disciplines of athletics and judo in a ceremony held in the city’s Plaza de Armas.
The first to receive the City Medal and a Tablet, from the mayor of Paita, Enrique Silva Zapata, it was the girl of 11 years old, Yhelena Claret Castillo. She stands out for having obtained three gold medals, in 2019, during the National School Sports Games. His coach and father Ervin Edinson Infante Reque, also received recognition and a medal of merit.
Judo Club
Subsequently, the members of the Judo club Intipa Churín Paita after obtaining different achievements in the last National Judo Championship Lima 2021. This, in the categories: cadets, junior and seniors. The athletes brought to the land of Grau a total of 16 medals: 8 gold, 6 silver, 2 bronze and 7 meritorious fifth places.
In the cadets and juniors category, Sebastián Benites Jacinto and Jorge Suárez Ramírez obtained gold medals. They received the City Medal and a present from the burgomaster.
Likewise, Lourdes Ambulay Paiva, Raiza Alexandra Castillo Guerrero, Eillynn López Correa and Arnold Prado Ramos received the City Medal.
Other champions Honored were: Marco Villegas Pastor, Brandon Panta Valdiviezo, Linda Carhuapoma Ordinola, Richard García Chang. In addition to Ángelo Juárez Guerrero, Adrián Díaz Ojeda, Perla Jiménez Valverde, Antony Chuman Talledo, Cris Antón Imán; Diana Céspedes Yarlequé, María Campos Soto, Rosita Leyton Correa and Alessandro Salazar Landa.
At another time, Mayor Enrique Silva Zapata delivered recognitions to the sensei: Yrving Yen Sánchez and Kenji Castillo Chuna.
