Zion Williamson returns to team training for the New Orleans Pelicans

Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans has returned to team training. The forward is allowed to participate in all activities again after breaking his foot, but there is no date for a comeback yet.

The Pelicans announced this in a statement. Accordingly, Williamson was examined again on Wednesday and then got the green light from the doctors. The 21-year-old took part in four-on-four exercises on Friday and prepared with the team for the back-to-back at the Utah Jazz.

When Williamson will make his comeback is still completely open. The Pelicans are currently on a road trip, after the games in Salt Lake City, the Pels also make a detour to Los Angeles before they receive the Dallas Mavericks at home on Thursday night.

Only after this game is a full training session scheduled again, it can be assumed that Zion will not play in these mentioned games. Christian Clark (NOLA.com) last speculated that Williamson could play again in December.

Williamson broke his foot in the offseason and has been condemned to watch ever since. Without their superstar, New Orleans made a classic false start and is currently 4-16. The gap to tenth place, which would still qualify for the play-in tournament, is already six games.
