Yussuf Poulsen has Corona: Leipzig star flew injured to the CL game to hold the cabin address – Bundesliga

Next corona case at RB Leipzig! striker Yussuf Poulsen (27) tested positive on Thursday.

Spicy: The Dane flew to the Champions League game in Bruges with the team despite an injury (torn calf muscle). There he was an assistant coach on the bench and gave the cabin speech before kick-off as an extra motivation.

Means: Poulsen was close to the players and the people in charge during the flight and the whole time. So the club pulled the rip cord and subjected all staff to a PCR test. It is possible that even more players and employees are affected by the virus.

And it gets even worse: Willy Orban (29), who also initially traveled to Bruges, but returned prematurely due to cold symptoms, also tested positive. Just like central defender Mohamed Simakan (21).

Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi (31), coach Jesse Marsch (48) and team manager Babacar N’Diaye (47) had already tested positive at the beginning of the week.

The club is still waiting for the results of the team’s current PCR test. As things stand now, RB Leipzig is assuming that the game against Leverkusen on Sunday (5.30 p.m.) will take place as planned.

No spectators are allowed at the game due to the high incidence in Saxony. This also applies to the games against Manchester City (December 7th) and Gladbach (December 11th).
