UEFA Europa Conference League
In group C of the Conference League, AS Roma and Bodo have qualified for the next round. The Romans were under pressure after two poor performances against the Norwegians, but swept Zorja Lugansk 4-0 off the mat.
Roma had put themselves in a tough spot by taking 1 on 6 in the double showdown with Bodo, which also saw a 6-1 humiliation in Norway.
So against Zorja Lugansk it was best to win and the home team did that with verve. Perez and Zaniolo provide a safe 2-0 bonus at halftime. After the coffee, Tammy Abraham also added 2 more goals. He captured the 4-0 final score with a nice overhead kick.
Roma goes to the next round together with Bodo. The Norwegians defeated CSKA Sofia 2-0 on Thursday evening.
