With the participation of Román Alberino from Rauche, the Argentine Badminton Team obtained a Silver medal in the team competition of the South American Youth Championship that takes place in Joinville, Brazil.
The Argentine team started with a victory against Chile and then did the same against Paraguay, to settle the final against Brazil where they were defeated.
The youthful Rauchense Román Alberino participated in the victory against Paraguay in mixed doubles, together with Ailén Oliva, by 2-0 (21-14 / 21-13) and in men’s doubles with Mateo Maira (21-19 / 21-19) .
In the final, against Brazil, they fell together with Maira against the couple composed of Davi Carvalho Marinho Da Silva and Paulo Teodoro Feitosa Alves Vieira by 21-16 and 21-19.
In this way, Argentina was awarded the Silver Medal, which is a great achievement for a sport in growth and development.
