VR Bank Oldenburg Land: 77,400 euros for the region

A rain of money for associations and social institutions: VR Bank Oldenburg Land, based in Wildeshausen, has donated 77,400 euros for projects in the region.

Whether it’s a picnic bench for the Gierenberg (Dötlingen Citizens’ Association), a new mat for judo (Sport-Club Wildeshausen) or energy-efficient lights in the clubhouse (Shooting Sports Comradeship Harpstedt): VR Bank Oldenburg Land, based in Wildeshausen, has many clubs on the occasion of its 125th anniversary and institutions in the district of Oldenburg. On Monday afternoon, 77,400 euros were handed over for the first 69 projects in the Iserloy golf and garden café.

“As part of our anniversary, we want to give back something that has made us an economically and collectively successful company over the years: trust and support,” says a press release from the bank. In mid-June, the board announced that it would be distributing 125,000 euros in the region. At first there was little interest, said spokesman Carsten Westdorp. “Then they all came at once. But associations and institutions that have not yet received anything can contact us. ”However, it must be about projects that are to be implemented in the coming year.

More than 100 applications received

So far, more than 100 applications have been received. And representatives of the 69 associations and institutions that implemented or started projects this year were invited to Iserloy for the official handover of the money.

In the area Wildeshausen benefited: VfL Wittekind, Gut Spascher Sand private school, Tafel, Volkshochschule, Schützenverein Lüerte-Holzhausen, city, Catholic parish, brass orchestra, support association for the Düngstrup fire brigade, Düngstrup Dorfshus, Herz-Jesu church choir, Donum Vitae, rainbow kindergarten, association of friends and sponsors the Holbeinschule, DRK, Schützenverein Bühren, Association of Friends and Supporters of the Realschule, Grün-Weiß Kleinenkneten and St. Peter Church Choir.

In Dotlingen The following associations and institutions benefited from the funding from VR Bank: Funding Association for Primary School Dötlingen, Altona Tennis Club, Funding Association for Handball TV Neerstedt, Schützenverein Brettorf, TV Neerstedt, citizens’ association, Friends of the Neerstedt fire brigade, Wi helpt di, Klattenhof village community, Evangelical Lutheran Parish and hunting association Neerstedt.

Also in the integrated community Harpstedt Some applications for grants were made by: Shooting Sports Comradeship Harpstedt, Friends’ Association of Schools in Patches, Friends of the Beckeln Fire Brigade and Rifle Association Dünsen.

The outstanding 47,600 euros are expected to be handed over in the coming year, the VR Bank announced in a press release.
