110 players, including four French, set off from Thursday in Mobile (Alabama) with the hope of securing a green fee on the LPGA Tour 2022. For that, it will be necessary to swallow 144 holes in two weeks and finish at the worst in the top 45. Instructions for use.

The LPGA Tour 2022 Access Cards marathon begins this Thursday on the two routes of the Magnolia Grove (Falls and Crossings) of Mobile, Alabama. 110 players are in the running in this first act which will see the 70 best (and tied) validate their ticket for the second act scheduled from December 9 to 12 on a composite course of the Highland Oaks Golf Club from Dothan, still in Alabama.

The scores acquired at the end of the “first round” in Mobile are kept for the “second” in Dothan. The first 45 (and tied) will benefit from a category 14 on the LPGA Tour (partial right) while the final top 20 will obtain a full category.

It is this last objective that Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (photo), winner of Stage-II on October 24 in Venice (Florida). Surrounded by her coach, Alain Alberti, his cart, Sebastien clement, and its osteo, Francois Teissedre-Dalou, the former world n ° 1 amateur is already a sure bet in French women’s golf, winner on the Ladies European Tour (LET) on August 29 from Skafto Open (Sweden).

Three other French golfers are at the start. Winner July 18 on the Symetra Tour, the American second division, Emma Broze directly qualified for these Q-Series. On the other hand, like Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, Julie Aimé and Agathe Laisne had to go through Stage-II, finishing 29th and 37th respectively.

Hinako Shibuno, winner of the British 2019, is there too …

Among the other players involved in Mobile, we note the presence of the Thai Atthaya Thitikul, n ° 1 of the Race to Costa del Sol on the LET and voted rookie of the year. In its wake, we find other “influential” members of the European Tour such as the German Olivia Cowan, the Spanish Nuria Iturrioz, the English Meghan MacLaren, the Danish Emily Kristine Pedersen or the Australian Stephanie Kyriacou (12 tops 10 including 1 victory in 2021). On the LPGA Tour in 2021, the Dutch Anne Van Dam for his part will try to keep his card.

Even more surprising, the presence of the Japanese Hinako Shibuno, 23 years old, winner of AIG Women’s British Open 2019 but who had decided to stay on the Japanese Tour, refusing an exemption on the LPGA. This time it finally seems ready to evolve all year round on the very powerful American circuit …
