This time, the protagonists are the owners of the future. In colombia, more precisely in the city of Cali, capital of Valle del Cauca, the first Junior Pan American Games are being developed, exclusively for Under 23 athletes. The official opening will be on November 25 and will end on December 5.

Argentina will have a delegation composed of 275 athletes who will be participating in 36 disciplines. In total, there will be 3,500 athletes from the 41 countries that make up the Panam Sports Organization. The ages range from 14 to 22 years old.

Luciana Cardozo (Vela | Laser Radial) and Julián Gutiérrez (Shooting | Rifle) were the flag bearers of the delegation at the Opening Ceremony, on Thursday at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium.

Argentina will have athletes who will compete in Athletics (28), Badminton (2), 3×3 Basketball (8), Beach Volleyball (4), Men’s Baseball (22), Boxing (7), Canotahe Sprint (10), BMX Cycling (4), Mountain Biking (2 ), Track and Road Cycling (16), Fencing (5), Artistic Gymnastics (8), Rhythmic Gymnastics (7), Trampoline Gymnastics (4), Handball (28), Judo (4), Karate (1), Lifting Weightlifting (6), Wrestling (3), Swimming (22), Artistic Swimming (2), Artistic Skate (2), Running Skate (4), Pentathlon (4), Skate (1), Women’s Softball (16), Squash (4), Taekwondo (4), Tennis (3), Table Tennis (4), Shooting (6), Archery (2), Triathlon (4), Sailing (4) and Volleyball (4).

In total there will be 6 sports per team (volleyball, beach volleyball, 3×3 basketball, handball of both teams; men’s baseball, women’s softball) while there will be other mixed teams that will also be participating.
