Raimonds Feldmanis, the coach of the Latvian national team in 3×3 basketball, has been recognized as the coach of the year.
Edgars Krūmiņš will receive the “Example of the Year” award for his relentless fighting spirit in the final of the Olympic Games even after an injury.
In the category “3×3 basketball player of the year” it was decided not to divide the Olympic team and all four athletes of this year were recognized – Agnis Čavars, Edgars Krūmiņš, Kārlis Pauls Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis.

The awards are traditionally presented at a special event, which is not possible this year due to the epidemiological situation. And the winners will receive their prizes separately.
The winners of the awards are planned to be revealed gradually.
In 2020, due to the consequences of the Covid-19 restrictions, the winners were certainly not awarded, but in 2019, Jānis Strēlnieks and Elīna Babkina were recognized as the best basketball players in Latvia, Lasmanis as the best 3×3 basketball player of the year, and Mārtiņš Zībarts as the coach of the year.
