ROMA – They came out on today Disney+ the first two episodes of the new series (the fifth ever) of the Marvel television universe. Hawkeye brings back to the center of the narrative Clint Barton that we had left in the no holds barred battle against Thanos in Avengers Endgame.
Where it is set
Set in New York City during the Christmas period after the events of the film that closed phase 3, this tv series that sees Jeremy Renner wearing the shoes of the most “human” hero of the Marvel universe again performs an operation similar to those that preceded it, namely Wandavision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, simultaneously expanding the MCU universe with the introduction of new heroes, starting with Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld.
The interview with Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton
Among the cast there are many well-known faces and for some of them it is a debut in the Marvel house. We virtually met two of them, Vera Farmiga e Tony Dalton, who told us about their emotions. “I have already participated in some films of international franchises but compared to Hawkeye the expectations are different”, Told us the American actress who plays the mother of the protagonist in this series. “Here the fans are always looking for the best while for Conjuring, for example, we started from a different perspective, without the expectations that I have found here since the first day. I accepted this role with enthusiasm for another reason as well: I love archery. You don’t know it but I’m a good archer. It is an honor to join the MCU even if you don’t realize how big this facility is. I worked in a wonderful cast and challenged myself again“. No different were the emotions of Tony Dalton who in the series plays the role of a swordsman: “I had a great time fencing. I was not a newcomer on the set as I have already practiced this sport in the past for work reasons. I trained for three months in New York. It was nice to be able to remove the dust and stretch my legs again. I also practiced a lot with Vera to prepare the part. I resumed teaching three times a week in Mexico with an Olympic fencing athlete but I must say that much of the credit does not go to myself but to the choreography staged by the director who managed to cover all my flaws “Dalton concluded.
Hawkeye’s plot
Hawkeye tells the story of an enterprising 20-year-old named Kate Bishop, lived with his myth of archer and superman without superpowers. Played by Hailee Steinfeld, Kate has accidentally ended up in bad trouble and needs help from Hawkeye, involved in the facts personally for reasons related to his past. A new, fearsome, pair of unconventional heroes is born. But will the two be able to complete their mission within six days, which is the ones left for Christmas, which Barton promised to spend with his family?
