Tennis.-Tennis / Davis.- The Madrid Arena welcomes more than 38,000 people in the group stage of the Davis Cup Finals

The Madrid Arena, home to groups A and B of the Davis Cup Finals, welcomed more than 38,000 spectators out of the 60,000 total that attended the two competition venues open to the public in this edition since last Thursday (Madrid and Turin).

As reported this Monday from the organization, specifically, the two sessions on Friday and Sunday in which Spain competed, already eliminated after falling to Russia, hung the full poster, with more than 6,000 spectators, 75% of the capacity total of the enclosure.

In addition, last Saturday around 5,000 spectators saw the duel between Sweden and Kazakhstan in the morning and, in the afternoon session, same audience numbers to follow the tie between the Russian Tennis Federation and Ecuador.

For its part, the Pala Alpitour, in the Italian Turin, hosted more than 20,000 fans during this first phase, who were able to enjoy the qualification to the quarterfinals of the host Italy.

As of this Monday, the quarterfinals of the competition begin. Italy and Croatia face this Monday in Turin, and Great Britain and Germany will do the same on Tuesday in the Austrian Innsbruck, where it is played behind closed doors due to restrictions. The Madrid venue will host the two remaining qualifiers between Serbia and Kazakhstan and between Russia and Sweden on December 1 and 2.
