Sunshine and golf fadas at Pro-Am International in Marrakech

From November 3 to 6, a hundred enthusiasts accompanied by their pros took part in the 2nd edition of the Marrakech Pro-Am organized by Golf First and Challenge Organization with the support of the Moroccan National Tourist Office.

The expression may seem disproportionate but it is indeed the reality. After this long period of confinement, many people have regained a taste for life, travel and especially golf by participating in the 2nd edition of the Pro-Am International in Marrakech which followed in the wake of Agadir. Even the organizers Christophe Cantegrel and Laetitia Marin still smiled up to their lips by welcoming the hundred or so participants who made it their duty to make the most of the Marrakech sun in these first days of November.

A Pro-Am where conviviality reigns

If no one has forgotten their swimsuit to enjoy the swimming pool at Kenzi Menara Palace, some imprudent people regretted their little wool to face in the early morning the wide fairways of the four golf courses on the program. But from the first light of the sun, the swings warmed up with the particularly pleasant feeling of sharing their passion for competition as a team in a friendly spirit. Admittedly the open bar was available in the evening, just to improve the course of the games that have elapsed with its share of strings returned and birdies performed … But the formula would not be as warm without the presence of the pros who display their good humor. by distilling here and there some advice.
The goal despite everything remains the win and some did not hesitate to force their “student friends” to try Trafalgar shots to get back the score or, on the contrary, to use the putter 5 meters from the green if the previous chips had caused some memorable scratches …

Victory for the teams of Fabien Marty and Guillaume Watremez

The best at this subtle game, a mixture of psychology and skill, was the affable Fabien Marty, a sort of English pop star-like Nick Nolte, who led his team to victory with an aggregate score of 320 in gross, beating the seasoned teams ofAlexandre Balicki (316) and Raphael Eyraud (309). In short, the Belgian team of Guillaume Watremez (362) precedes those of Bastien Parise (361) and John Gould (347) on the podium.

It is true that the wide fairways ofAl Maaden, d’Amelkis and of samanah allowed the pros to express their full power, but this is the Royal Golf with its narrower passageways and smaller greens, which served as a sort of justice of the peace in this sunny competition.

The famous par 3 of the Royal nicknamed “Brigitte Bardot”

Sun and… girls!

In this Pro-Am International of Marrakech, the presence of proettes was noticed: Anaelle Carnet, Marie Facciolini and Rebecca Wallace started the movement, let’s hope that this premiere becomes a sweet habit! Such events need feminine elements that make it possible to best represent all the enthusiasts.
