Successes for judokas of KSC Buschido at Hamburg U15 championships

Harburg / Tangstedt. After a long break from competition, it was finally back on the judo mat. The venue for the Hamburg U15 championships was Tangstedt and the host of the Wilstedter Sportverein (WSV) Tangstedtwho hosted the title fights. From the talent factory from KSC Bushido there were four judoka at the start. The judoka for that Geerdts coaching team did not have much time to prepare for this long-awaited event, as the announcement and the go for this championship was not decided until mid-September. Since Group North had also decided to host the North German Championships, the Hamburg Association had to react and organize the individual championships as a qualification.

Linda Jean Geerdts started in the weight class -48 kilograms. She won her preliminary fights in the first 30 seconds. In the final fight you stood then Jule Jacobs from Norderstedt opposite, who in the previous week in
Abu Dabi had become the U16 world champion in Ju-Jutsu. The result was an exciting, long fight in which Linda dominated while standing and used some strong throwing techniques. Shortly before the end of the fight, however, she got caught in a lever technique in the ground and lost the fight. So Linda Hamburger Vice Champion and still bought the ticket to a North German Championship for the first time (did not take place in previous years due to corona). She will now represent the colors of Hamburg on December 4th in Lutten (Lower Saxony).

Hamburg champion became Katharina Graetzer, which confidently dominated the weight class over 63 kilograms. In the final, she met her club colleague Julia Lewitzki. Here Katharina won with a throw of the thigh and then a grab handle. These two KSC Judo Amazons also bought the ticket to the North German Championship.

Bronze was there for Lennie Freuerwho went on the tatami in the weight class up to 55 kilograms. After two great victories in the preliminary round, he then had to admit defeat to the really outstanding Hamburg champions from the TH Eilbek. In the semifinals, however, Lennie had to give up injured after a throwing technique by his opponent. But bronze was still safe for him, and so was the ticket to Lutten.
