Soria Basketball, unstoppable: eight wins in nine games

The lower sections of Club Soria Baloncesto have said goodbye to November with the most successful weekend of the season so far. Their teams won eight of the nine games they played. Junior A (37-58), Cadet A (56-75) and Infantil A (26-67) won on the court of Basket Pisones de Burgos. At the San Andrés Sports Center, against Maristas Burgos, Cadet B (68-56) won. And the two women’s teams also triumphed at home: the Cadet, 83-18 against Juventud Gerardo de la Calle de Aranda de Duero, and the Infantil, 59-9 against Juventud Aranda, also from Burgos. Only Infantil B was defeated throughout the weekend (46-64 against Maristas Burgos) and Junior B and Infantil C.

Junior A played in Burgos, against a rival who remained undefeated, a very weak match in rhythm and intensity. After the break, his defensive strength did not improve, although Fernando Flores’ team stopped missing single baskets under the opposing basket (3-15 in the fourth quarter) and that paved the way to his fifth win in five games. Cadet A always commanded the scoreboard against an uncomfortable Basket Pisones, against which he achieved his fourth victory in five days. These numbers keep the Jesús Soto team in the fight for the leadership.

With a very good attitude, Infantil A faced their match against Basket Pisones, at the beginning of which they made quite a few inaccuracies. Once he acquired the necessary defensive rhythm, he was able to steal balls and launch the counterattack. Julio Pérez’s squad has five victories and a single setback. Cadet B achieved a deserved victory in a tough and even game. Rubén Sanz’s team increased defensive intensity in moments of truth, was able to stop the virtues of its rival thanks to the collective work and knew how to go out on the counterattack to dominate the last quarter 25-11. His balance is four wins and one loss.

The Female Cadet hardly had to suffer to get his second win in five days. Mario Palomar’s entire team played a good game, he was superior to his rival in the rebound, he was able to put into practice quick offensive actions and in static attack he enjoyed a greater success than in previous days. It was even easier for the Infant Women to beat their adversary in a comfortable match, controlled from the start and with minutes for all players. This is the second victory for the children in the four rounds they have played so far.
